Experience:

A candidate shared their experience interviewing for the Baker Hughes Finance Aspire program.

Round 1: HireVue Interview
This was an initial digital interview. After this, if the candidate was of interest, they would receive a follow-up.

Round 2: Virtual Interview with HR and Finance Director
This round took place 2-3 months after the HireVue. It included a standard behavioral assessment and a Q&A with HR. Behavioral questions included:

  • "Tell me a time when you had to work under stress and how did you handle it."
  • "Tell me a time when you had to work with a difficult colleague, and how did you handle it."
Following this, there was a case study where the candidate had 30 minutes to review financial records. They then had to present their findings and answer questions regarding those findings. The candidate found the case study challenging due to timing and difficulty in grasping the financial records, leading to their rejection.

Tips: The candidate advised remaining calm, not panicking, and carefully reading through the case study. They also suggested not being shy or intimidated to ask for clarification if something is unclear.
