The candidate was placed as a Digital Technology Intern with Baker Hughes after a 5-round campus placement process in September 2023.

Round 1: Digital Interview (HireVue)
This was an AI-based round where candidates recorded answers to 5 behavioral questions. Examples included challenges faced during a project and how they were overcome. This round saw around 250 out of 300 shortlisted students move forward.

Round 2: Technical Test
This round consisted of 25 MCQs to be solved in 30 minutes. Topics covered Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), OOPS, Computer Networks (CN), Operating Systems (OS), and SQL. 108 students were selected for the next rounds.

Round 3: Group Discussion
Candidates were divided into panels of 10 with 2 moderators. The topics were related to the energy sector, which is the company's domain. This was a significant elimination round, with only 3 or 4 people max selected from each group.

Round 4: Technical Interview
This interview was conducted online via MS Teams and lasted over an hour. Questions were primarily based on the candidate's resume. The interviewer focused on DSA, asking about the candidate's favorite data structure (LinkedList) and then simple coding problems like finding a cycle in a Linked List or the middle element. General theoretical questions, an SQL query using join statements, and DBMS concepts (e.g., ACID properties) were also covered. Since the candidate mentioned web development, questions on JavaScript and CSS were asked. 20 candidates were selected for the final round.

Round 5: Leadership Interview
This round was taken by a senior-level manager. It included questions about career aspirations, reasons for wanting to join Baker Hughes, and how the candidate could contribute to the company.

Tips: The candidate advised being calm, relaxed, and humble. Listening carefully to questions and responding accordingly was emphasized. They also noted that interviewers were friendly and reassuring.
