Experience:

This candidate received an APM offer from HiLabs through campus placement and shared their experience, having joined the company five months prior to the blog post.

Pre-Interview Stage:
Candidates were given 7 days to create a deck for 5 products based on NLP or Deep Learning models. The shortlist for interviews came on November 30th, with 12 people on the main list and 6 more on an extended shortlist on the interview day.

Interview Round 1 (Data Science focused):
This round, lasting about 30 minutes, included a data science question asking to estimate the number of iPhone users in India, which the candidate found very easy. The interviewer also asked about the kind of work APMs do at HiLabs, as the candidate was expecting product interview questions.

Interview Round 2 (Product Manager):
This round was conducted by a Product Manager. The interviewer inquired about the candidate's prior interview experience with HiLabs. A product design question was posed: Flipkart wants to add floral commerce to its platform, and the candidate needed to discuss the Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy, product design setup, and a value chain for product delivery. This was the longest interview round.

Tips and Suggestions:
Interviewers at HiLabs are generally helpful and seek clarity in thought. They primarily look for structured thinking coupled with data skills and product sense.
