Experience:

The candidate received an internship offer from Graviton Research Capital for Summer 2024.

Online Assessment: Consisted of two questions to be completed in 60 minutes.

• Q1: Based on DFS on a tree.
• Q2: Involved Bit Manipulation. This question was considered a decider, requiring an interesting observation.

Both questions needed to be solved to be shortlisted.

Technical Round 1: Started with a coding question based on Dynamic Programming and Bit Manipulation. The candidate first provided an O(N²) solution and coded it, then optimized it to an O(N) solution using bit manipulation, which satisfied the interviewer. A puzzle was also given, for which the candidate provided the strategy.

Technical Round 2: Began with a problem requiring finding the expected value using the linearity of expectation. Followed by several Core CS questions, mainly on Deadlock and Synchronization in Operating Systems, and Pipelining and Caching in Computer Architecture. Concluded with a problem involving fundamental probability concepts.

HR Round: Standard HR questions were asked, such as "why Graviton," "describe your journey," and "where do you see yourself in the future."
