Experience:

This interview experience is for an experienced React.js Developer role at GlobalLogic. The candidate was contacted by a recruiter after finding their resume on Naukri.com. The process involved four rounds: two technical, one managerial, and one HR.

Round 1: Technical Round 1
Focused on JavaScript and React basics:

  • How React is working.
  • Reconciliation.
  • Virtual DOM.
  • Output questions involving promises, setTimeout, and setInterval to determine execution flow.
  • Phases of React (mounting, updating, unmounting) and corresponding hooks/lifecycle methods.
  • Hoisting questions.
The interviewer primarily checked logical and logic-building skills.

Round 2: Technical Round 2
Started with questions about migration work done in projects. Also included coding questions:

  • Given an array of arrays (nested arrays), remove all nested arrays and flatten it (similar to `Array.prototype.flat()` in JavaScript).
  • More JavaScript questions based on arrays.
Logical and logic-building skills were again a focus.

Round 3: Managerial Round
Questions included:

  • How to handle pressure.
  • Discussion about open-source contributions.

Round 4: HR Round
Mainly involved discussions about the company and salary. The candidate found the overall interview experience very good, with interviewers being helpful when stuck.
