FactSet visited the college for hiring 2022 graduates. The process had 4 rounds.

Round 1: Online Test

Contained three coding questions and two SQL questions. Questions were described as easy but a bit unclear. Coding questions were on arrays and strings. SQL queries were based on basic aggregate operations.

Round 2: Technical Interview 1

Duration: 1 hour. Held on HackerRank CodePair. The interviewer started with an introduction and then moved directly to coding questions.

• Question 1: Count Negative Numbers in a Column-Wise and Row-Wise Sorted Matrix (LeetCode easy/medium).
• Question 2: Given two BSTs, print the node values from both trees in ascending order (LeetCode medium).
• Question 3: The Celebrity Problem (GeeksforGeeks medium/hard).

Round 3: Technical Interview 2

Duration: 1 hour. Also held on HackerRank CodePair. The interviewer directly jumped into coding questions, which were relatively tougher than the first technical round. The focus was more on the candidate's thought process than just code execution.

• Question 1: Diagonal Traversal of a Binary Tree (GeeksforGeeks medium).
• Question 2: Design a stack which can give maximum frequency element (GeeksforGeeks hard).
• Question 3: Count smaller elements on right side (GeeksforGeeks hard).

Round 4: HR Round

Duration: around 20 minutes. Standard HR questions were asked, such as "What do you do in your free time?".
