Experience:

This was an on-campus opportunity for an SDE Internship at Expedia.

1. Capfinnity Strength Assessment: This was an eliminative round (45-60 minutes) to check mental strength and ability in different scenarios.

2. Online Coding Round (60 minutes): Only shortlisted students from the previous round were invited. The test consisted of 6 MCQs (revolving around OS, OOPs, Data Structures, and Algorithms) and 2 coding questions. The coding questions were of medium (array, strings) to hard (dynamic programming) level.

3. Technical Interview 1 (Problem-Solving and Algorithm + Behavioral): This physical interview started with a brief introduction. Coding questions were asked, requiring pen-and-paper solutions. One question was "Find Subarray with the given sum." The candidate started with a brute force approach and then optimized it using dynamic programming. Behavioral questions included self-rating on leadership and teamwork skills, with instances to justify the response.

4. Technical Interview 2 (Data Structure + Behavioral): This interview also began with an introduction, followed by coding questions. Questions mentioned were "Find the Second largest element in an array," "How to determine if a binary tree is height-balanced?," "Merge two sorted linked lists," and "Partition a set into two subsets such that the difference of subset sums is minimum." Behavioral questions were also part of this round.

The overall interview experience was good, with a focus on problem-solving and data structures. The candidate was selected for the summer internship.
