Questions covered aptitude, logical reasoning, verbal ability, computer science fundamentals, and pseudo codes, conducted on the CoCubes platform. There was a negative marking of 0.25 for incorrect answers. Out of 210 students, 31 were selected for the next round.
  • Round 2: Technical Interview
Scheduled on Microsoft Teams, this round lasted approximately 35 minutes. The interviewer was described as "cool and friendly." Questions included: "Tell me about yourself.", "About the project.", "What difficulties did I face while working on a project?", "Fundamental questions on SQL.", "Write a query to find the maximum salary in each department.", "Difference between drop, delete, and truncate commands?", "Write a code for finding a minimum occurrence of a character in a string." A puzzle about measuring time using two ropes was also asked. Following this round, 18 out of 31 shortlisted students advanced.
  • Round 3: Technical/HR Interview
This round was conducted on the same day and lasted about 15 minutes. For the interviewee, it was primarily an HR round. Questions included: "Tell me about yourself.", "Are you a team working person or an individual working person?", "Any incident in which you face some difficulty while dealing with your team members?", "Why do you want to join EXL services?", "Any questions for the interviewer?". For other candidates, this round included both technical and HR questions. Ultimately, 9 students were selected, including the author of the experience.

Tips: The author suggested preparing well for the written tests, especially aptitude, and noted that the interview rounds were relatively easy to clear.
