Experience:

This interview experience for an Embedded role at Embitel Technologies (India) Pvt. Limited in Bangalore involved a multi-stage process.

Round 1: Written Test
The first round was a written test consisting of approximately 40 questions. These were divided into 10 aptitude questions, 10 C programming questions, 10 analog electronics questions, and 10 questions on microcontrollers (8051) and digital electronics. The C questions were reportedly sourced from INDIABIX. Out of around 100 students, 12 embedded students, 6 Android students, and 2 iOS students qualified for the subsequent rounds.

Round 2: First Technical Interview
This round lasted about 1 hour and focused on the basics of C programming and the candidate's projects. Questions included "Tell me about yourself" and "Draw the block diagram of your project & then questions on the project."

Round 3: Second Technical Interview
This round was also approximately 1 hour long and was described as "a bit tough," focusing on logic. Specific questions included:

• "Tell me about yourself"
• "Which communication protocols do you know?"
• Small programs to determine outputs, specifically "pointing a hardware address using pointers" and programs based on the range of 'char' (referencing Yashwant Kanetkar's book).
• "Asked the flow of the complete compilation process in C."
• "Asked to write a Program for deleting a node in Linked List."
• A problem-solving scenario: "Consider one switch. Through the switch, we are reading +5V and 0V. But sometimes a spike comes. Then how will you compensate for that spike through software?"
• Questions on the architecture of AVR-ATMEGA 128.

Round 4: HR Interview
The final round was a 10-minute HR interview. Questions included:

• "Tell me about yourself"
• "Which company you are looking for?"
• A situational question: "It's always good to have a job at our hometown right? But our location is Bangalore and its not your hometown, then how?"

The candidate was eventually selected, along with 4 other embedded students, 5 Android, and 1 iOS student, receiving a joining letter after 6 days.
