Interview Type: On-Campus

Difficulty: Online Round: One easy, two medium

Rounds: 3 rounds (Online Round, Technical Round, HR Round)

Topics Asked: Coding (Binary Search, Koko Eating Bananas, DP-based question), Projects, Data Structures (Linked List loop detection, Dijkstra's Algorithm), OOPs (Friend Class, Encapsulation, Polymorphism), Behavioral (leadership, harsh decisions, team conflicts, "Why DB?", family background, stressful conditions, team leadership)

Experience:

Round 1 (Online Round): Held on July 22, 2024, this round consisted of three coding questions. There was one easy and two medium-level questions. The first question was based on binary search (20 points). The second question was also binary search-based (similar to Koko Eating Bananas, 50 points). The third question was DP-based (50 points).

Technical Round: This was a virtual interview. Questions included project discussions, such as arranging arrays with odd and even elements (with and without extra space), finding loops and starting elements in a linked list, Dijkstra's Algorithm (code and failure conditions), OOPs concepts like friend class, encapsulation, and polymorphism. The interviewer also discussed the candidate's coding profile and Smart India Hackathon project details.

HR Round: This round included questions like: "Why do you want to join DB?", family background, the most stressful condition in life and how it was dealt with, and a situation where the candidate worked as a team leader. A situational question was also posed: "If I am the team leader of team A and my team can't start working until team B has completed their project and the deadline is of a week. Now if team B has not delivered the project by the deadline what should I do in this condition?"
