Experience:

GE visited VIT Vellore in September 2021 for internship opportunities across Aviation, Gas Power, and Renewables departments. The entire process was online. Students with a CGPA above 6.65 and 66.5% in 10th and 12th were eligible.

Round 1: Online Test (AON Cocubes)
This round had two parts. Part 1 consisted of 50 questions on Logical Reasoning, English Grammar, and Quantitative Ability, to be completed in 50 minutes. Part 2 had two coding questions of easy and medium difficulty, to be completed in 45 minutes. Specific coding questions mentioned were: "Array element having a maximum frequency of digit K" and "Wildcard matching".

Round 2: Technical Round
About 115 candidates were shortlisted. The interviewer was friendly and focused on projects. The candidate was asked to explain 7-8 projects (more than what was on the resume). Questions were also asked on OOPS concepts (four basic pillars with real-life examples, differences between class and interface). Java-specific questions included "what is Java collection", "difference between array and ArrayList", and "ArrayList and LinkedList". Basic knowledge of OSI layers (just names) was also tested. Finally, questions on cyber security were asked due to relevant projects. The round lasted about 35 minutes.
