Citicorp visited campus for FTE hiring for the Technical Programmer Analyst role. The process consisted of 3 rounds.

Round 1: Online Test (AMCAT Platform)
Duration: Not Specified (sectional time limits)
Sections:

• Quantitative Aptitude (14 questions, relatively easy)
• Logical Reasoning (12 questions - Statements and Conclusions, Family Tree, Direction-based questions)
• Technical MCQ (25 questions - Big O, Omega notations, Functions, OOPs concepts)
• Coding Section (2 questions)

Coding Questions:

1. A famous Amazon interview question: "Is cheese reachable in the maze?" (Solved using DFS).
2. A tricky pattern printing question (Solved using recursion).

Note: Aptitude was given huge weightage for shortlisting. Around 30 students were shortlisted from B.Tech for the Pune branch.

Round 2: Technical Interview
Duration: Approximately 30 mins (stated for HR, but context implies technical was also around this length).
Questions:

• Introductions and interests.
• Explanation of ML project, follow-up questions (why Random Forests vs. SVM, libraries used, what is a pickle file, deployment).
• Discussion on CodeChef rating, why CP, what was learned, language used (C++), why C++ vs. Python/C, differences between them.
• Object-Oriented Programming: Pillars of OOPs with real-life analogies, difference from procedural/imperative programming.
• DBMS: Awareness of concepts, Normalization (why used, when is a table in 2NF).
• SQL Query: Write a query to get the 3rd lowest salary, then generalize for Nth lowest.
• Coding Question: "I knew the solution so solved it." Explain Time Complexity and Space Complexity.
• Puzzle: One puzzle was asked.

The panel was very friendly.

Round 3: HR Interview
Duration: Approximately 30 mins.
Questions:

• Strengths & weaknesses.
• Why do you want to join Citi? What do you know about Citi?
• Career aspirations.
• Discussion on hobbies, family background.

Overall Experience: Positive, with a note on perseverance after previous rejections.
