Round 1 — Spoken communication. I listened to a short passage and answered questions about it in complete sentences. Then I did a role-play where I had to tell my manager who would handle my projects while I was on vacation. Other tasks included reading sentences aloud, filling in missing words, and correcting grammar mistakes like “Did he wrote the test yesterday?” For the final task, I had 30 seconds to prepare and 45 seconds to speak about the person I admire most in my family. Round 2 — Email writing. The only task was to write an email to my manager. A customer wanted a refund for a defective hair dryer he had bought about three months earlier, but the return window was only two weeks. I had to explain why the customer was upset, mention that he wanted to speak to the manager, and ask what to do next.
