Visa Interview – Technical Round | Difficulty: Medium The interview started with a brief discussion about the projects mentioned on my resume, where the interviewer asked a few questions to understand my work. We then moved on to a coding problem based on a Tic-Tac-Toe game. Question 1: Tic-Tac-Toe Winner Detection You are given an (n \times n) Tic-Tac-Toe board and a stream of moves. Each move contains a board position and a player number indicating which player made the move. Process the moves in order and determine whether either player has won or whether the game ends in a tie. The solution should correctly handle the sequence of moves and identify a winning condition based on the board state. Question 2: Two-Egg Problem The interviewer also asked the classic two-egg puzzle: You are given two identical eggs and a building with 100 floors. There is a critical floor such that an egg dropped from that floor or any higher floor breaks, while an egg dropped from a lower floor does not. Determine the minimum number of drops required in the worst case to identify the critical floor. The interview tested practical problem-solving, handling a stream of inputs, game-state simulation, and logical reasoning through a classic puzzle. Result: Rejected.
