Round 1 Behavioral Questions The interviewer also asked several behavioral questions, mainly focusing on situations where I had to demonstrate ownership, decision-making, and the ability to work under pressure. Some of the questions included: Have you ever delivered something under significant pressure? How did you handle the situation? Tell me about a decision you made that had an impact on your team. What was the situation and what was the outcome? DSA Questions There were two DSA questions. Number of Islands The first problem was similar to LeetCode 200 — Number of Islands, involving traversal of a 2D grid and identifying connected components. Binary Search on Answer The second problem was similar to LeetCode 1552 — Magnetic Force Between Two Balls. It involved using binary search on the answer and checking whether a particular minimum distance could be achieved. Round 2-The interview started with around 35–40 minutes of deep-diving into my project architecture. The interviewer asked detailed questions about the architectural decisions I made, including why I chose a particular technology, why I designed certain components in that way, and how different parts of the system communicate with each other. There were also several questions around how Generative AI was incorporated into the project, including its role, why it was needed, and how it contributed to the overall system. DSA was like: On a shopping website, we want to identify non-returning users and offer them promotional offers to bring them back to the platform. Each user has a unique username, which allows us to track their visits. Focus on the month of August and identify users who visited the website exactly once during August and did not return afterward. The problem essentially required analyzing user visit history based on their unique usernames and filtering users according to their August activity and subsequent return behavior.
