I appeared for the Salesforce Software Engineer Intern hiring process through my college campus. The process started with a HackerRank online assessment containing coding questions and CS fundamentals. The assessment tested DSA, OS and DBMS, along with programming and analytical concepts. In similar Salesforce campus drives, the coding section has included problems involving strings, graphs, arrays and implementation. After clearing the OA, I was shortlisted for the technical interviews. The first technical round started with a quick introduction and resume discussion before moving into DSA. I was asked a problem involving sliding-window/hashmap techniques. I explained the brute-force approach first and then optimized it while discussing the complexity. The interviewer also asked me to dry-run the solution on a few edge cases. Salesforce intern reports commonly mention medium-level DSA questions involving sliding windows, strings, trees and arrays. The second technical round was a mix of DSA and core CS. I was asked another problem and then questioned on OOP concepts, operating systems and database fundamentals. We also went through my projects in detail, including the architecture, technologies used and my individual contribution. Salesforce's own university recruiting information highlights DSA, Java/C/C++, algorithms and analytical skills, while recent campus reports also mention project and CS-fundamentals discussions. The final discussion was more behavioral and managerial. We talked about teamwork, challenges I had faced in projects, why I wanted to join Salesforce and my future goals. I was able to perform consistently across the rounds and answer the technical follow-ups confidently. After completing the process, I received confirmation that I had been **selected for the Salesforce SWE Internship** through campus recruitment.
