Experience:

The candidate applied for an AI/ML position based in Delhi through the C-DOT career page in November. Eligibility criteria included a CGPA of 7 CPI or above for the general category and 6 CPI or above for SC/ST/PH/OBC, with age limits also specified.

Round 1: Resume-Based Shortlisting
Candidates were shortlisted based on their resumes, with advice to make them attractive by adding more projects, technical knowledge (subject + language), and certifications.

Round 2: Technical + HR Interview
This was a single interview conducted by a panel of two people, lasting 45 minutes. The candidate's specialization was ML and DL, but the interview also heavily focused on DSA and C-based questions.

• "Tell me about yourself, and why you want to join CDOT."
• DSA Question: "3L jug and 5L jug unlimited water problem." The candidate provided two solutions.
• DSA Question: "Second largest element in an array." The candidate explained both naive and optimized approaches and then coded it.
• "Difference between array and linked list."
• "What is storage class? And types and differences between them?"
• C Programming Question: Given an array a[]= {12,43,56,8,3,545,89};, "traverse through a pointer to the whole array and when you come across the 3rd index, change the value from 56 to 30."

The candidate mentioned being nervous and not performing well on the pointer questions, having prepared primarily for AI-ML topics.
