JPMC

I appeared for the JPMorgan Chase & Co. Software Engineering Intern hiring process through my college campus. The first round was an online coding assessment on HackerRank with two DSA problems. The questions were around easy-to-medium difficulty, mainly involving arrays, strings and graphs. I focused on solving both within the time limit and making sure the solutions handled edge cases. Recent JPMC campus experiences report a similar two-question coding assessment. After clearing the OA, I had my first technical interview. The interviewer started with my introduction and then asked me to explain my projects. We discussed the technologies I had used and some implementation decisions. I was then given two coding problems: one involved finding pairs in an array with a given sum, and another involved finding the most frequently occurring word in a string. I had to explain the approach, complexity and alternative solutions. The second technical round went deeper into my resume and projects. The interviewer asked detailed questions about one of my projects and the reasons behind choosing particular technologies. We also discussed core CS concepts and some technical fundamentals relevant to my projects. JPMC interview reports commonly emphasize knowing the resume thoroughly rather than just preparing DSA. The final HR round was relatively short. I was asked why I wanted to join JPMC, my future plans, teamwork experiences and what I wanted to learn during the internship. Overall, the process tested DSA, project knowledge, CS fundamentals and communication. I was able to perform well across the rounds, and after the final evaluation, I received confirmation that I had been **selected for the JPMC SWE Internship**.
