Flipkart

I appeared for the Flipkart SDE Intern hiring process through my college campus/GRiD. The process started with an online assessment containing three DSA problems. The questions involved arrays, strings, sorting and implementation, with the difficulty increasing across the problems. Recent Flipkart internship experiences also report three coding questions in around 60–90 minutes. After clearing the assessment, I had my first technical interview. The interviewer started with a short introduction and then moved to DSA. I was given a problem involving a tree and had to first explain the brute-force approach before discussing the optimized solution. The interviewer kept asking follow-ups about time and space complexity and different edge cases. Flipkart interviews have also been reported to include graph, DP and other medium-level algorithmic problems. The second technical round was a combination of DSA and core CS. I was asked another problem and had to explain my reasoning while coding. We then discussed OOP, OS and DBMS concepts. The interviewer also went through my resume and asked detailed questions about one of my projects, including the architecture, technologies used and my individual contribution. The final discussion was more conversational and focused on my projects, teamwork, motivation for joining Flipkart and general behavioral questions. I also got an opportunity to ask questions about the team and internship. Overall, the process was strongly focused on problem-solving, but project knowledge and CS fundamentals were equally important. I was able to handle the technical discussions and follow-ups well, and after completing the process, I received confirmation that I had been **selected for the Flipkart SWE Internship**.
