I appeared for the Goldman Sachs Software Engineering Intern process through my college campus recruitment. The process started with an online assessment that included DSA coding questions, aptitude, CS fundamentals and a few behavioral/situation-based questions. In recent on-campus experiences, the coding section has included easy-to-medium problems, while some drives have also had a separate advanced coding section. After clearing the OA, I was shortlisted for the technical interviews. The first round started with a brief introduction and a detailed discussion about my projects. The interviewer asked about the implementation choices I had made and then moved to DSA. I was given a problem related to grouping pairs having the same sum. I explained the approach, discussed the complexity and then worked through examples. The second technical round was more DSA and fundamentals oriented. I was asked questions involving arrays and number theory, including finding numbers whose sum of proper divisors equals the number itself. There were also questions about why I wanted to become a software engineer and what I had done outside college to improve my skills.
