I appeared for the Cisco Software Engineering Intern process through my college campus recruitment. The process started with an online assessment on HackerRank containing around 40 MCQs covering Computer Networks, Operating Systems, OOPs and aptitude, along with two coding questions. The coding section was around medium to medium-hard level, with DSA topics such as Trie, DP and graphs appearing in different Cisco drives. After clearing the OA, I had my technical interview. The interviewer first asked me to introduce myself and then went through my resume and projects. I had to explain one of my backend projects in detail, including authentication and the technologies I had used. The discussion then moved to DSA, where I was given a linked-list problem and had to explain the approach before coding. A significant part of the interview focused on core CS, especially Computer Networks and Operating Systems. I was asked about the OSI model, TCP vs UDP, how a NIC connects the operating system to the network, and different types of file systems. These topics were consistent with other recent Cisco India interview reports. The next round was more managerial. We discussed teamwork, my projects, why I wanted to join Cisco, and how I would approach learning during the internship. The final HR discussion covered relocation, internship duration and general details about the role. The interviews were interactive, and the interviewers gave me hints when I got stuck. After completing all the rounds, I received confirmation that I had been **selected for the Cisco SWE Internship**.
