I went through the Accenture campus hiring process for the Associate Software Engineer role. The selection process had several stages, so the interview was actually the final part of a much longer process. The first assessment combined aptitude and technical questions. I remember seeing questions around reasoning, verbal ability, pseudocode, networking, cloud/security fundamentals, and common applications. The difficulty was mostly manageable, but the time pressure mattered because there were a lot of questions. After clearing that, I moved to the coding assessment. The coding round had two problems. They were not extremely advanced DSA questions, but I still had to be careful with implementation and hidden test cases. One problem involved an array, while the other required working with a linked-list pattern. I focused on getting the basic logic correct first instead of trying to write a complicated solution. There was then a communication assessment. It involved listening and speaking tasks, and the main challenge was following the instructions accurately while maintaining clear communication. Since it was a qualifying stage, I treated it seriously even though it felt very different from the coding round. The final interview was surprisingly short. The interviewer started with my introduction and then asked about the projects on my resume. I explained my main project, including the technologies I used and what my contribution was. A few follow-up questions were based on why I selected those technologies and what problems I encountered while developing the project. The rest of the discussion was mostly HR-oriented. I was asked why I wanted to join Accenture, whether I was comfortable relocating, and how I would handle working with a team. There were also a few questions about my academic interests and general career plans. I had prepared for a much more technical interview, so initially I was slightly surprised by how conversational it was. However, I made sure not to give one-line answers and tried to connect my responses to things I had actually done. A few days after completing the process, I received the selection confirmation for the Associate Software Engineer role. My main takeaway was that the Accenture process evaluates performance across multiple stages, so preparing only for the final interview would not have been enough.
