Myntra

Myntra came to our campus for the Business Intern hiring. After the initial resume shortlisting, we had an assessment round covering aptitude, basic business concepts and data interpretation. The assessment was mostly manageable, but there were a few questions where the calculations were time-consuming. I got through to the interview round. The interview started with a quick introduction and questions about my resume. They asked about some of my projects and then moved towards Myntra's business model and e-commerce. I was asked things like how a marketplace works, how I would look at a drop in sales, and what metrics I would check to understand the problem. There were also some Excel-based questions, including basic formulas and working with given data. One case was around a business metric where I had to interpret the numbers and explain what could be causing the change. The interviewer was more interested in my thought process than just getting a particular answer. The interview went fairly well, but I wasn't able to handle a couple of the business cases as clearly as I wanted. I didn't make the final shortlist for the Business Intern role. The process was quite different from a typical DSA-heavy internship and was more about business thinking, data interpretation and being comfortable with Excel and numbers.
