Accenture visited our campus for its Elite Technology Engineering Internship hiring. The role was for the pre-final year students, and the hiring process had multiple stages starting with an online assessment. The internship was for two months, and the stipend being discussed for this role was around ₹1.25 lakh per month. Online Assessment The first stage was the online assessment. The test had a mix of coding and technical questions. The coding part was not extremely difficult, but it tested basic problem-solving ability. There was a DSA question along with an SQL question. The SQL question involved working with multiple tables and joins, so knowing basic SQL properly was enough to handle it. There was also a frontend question involving HTML, CSS and JavaScript. One of the reported questions required implementing the functionality of a digital clock, along with the required HTML and CSS. The overall coding assessment was more about checking fundamental programming skills than extremely advanced competitive programming. I cleared the assessment and was shortlisted for the next stage. Communication Assessment The next round was a communication assessment. It was mainly designed to check basic English communication and listening ability. There were sections involving reading and repeating sentences, listening to short passages and answering questions, completing sentences and speaking on a given topic. There was also an email-writing component. The round was fairly straightforward. The main thing was to stay attentive and make sure the microphone, camera and internet connection worked properly. Recent candidates reported that the communication assessment was generally non-eliminatory, although technical problems with the system could still cause issues. After clearing this stage, I received the interview slot. Technical + HR Interview The final interview was around 25–30 minutes. It was more conversational than I initially expected. The interviewer started with the usual “Tell me about yourself” question. After the introduction, most of the discussion moved toward my projects. I was asked to explain the projects mentioned on my resume, including the problem I was trying to solve, the technologies I used and my contribution to the project. The interviewer also asked about challenges I faced while developing the project and how I solved them. There were some follow-up questions based on the technologies mentioned on my resume. The exact questions depended on what I had written, but the discussion stayed around practical technical fundamentals rather than going extremely deep into advanced DSA. I was also asked some basic questions from OOP and DBMS. The interviewer wanted to check whether I understood the concepts I had listed on my resume. There was some discussion around DSA as well, but it was not a long competitive-programming-style interview. Basic topics such as arrays, strings and binary search were relevant preparation areas. Recent candidates for the same Elite Technology Engineering track have reported similar interviews, with some being asked basic DSA, OOP, DBMS, ML or web-development questions depending on their resume. The final part was mainly HR and behavioral questions. I was asked why I wanted to join Accenture, how I handle challenges and how I would deal with a disagreement or conflict within a team. There were also questions around my strengths, weaknesses and general career goals. The interview felt quite different from a typical product-company DSA interview. The interviewer seemed more interested in understanding my projects, communication and overall technical fundamentals. Result After the interview, I received the selection confirmation for the Elite Technology Engineering Internship at Accenture. The IIT Jodhpur hiring numbers being discussed publicly at the time were quite high. A recent IIT Jodhpur discussion reported around 72 out of 78 interview candidates receiving offers, although this is a student/community report and not an official placement statistic. The reported stipend for the Elite Technology Engineering internship was around ₹1.25 lakh per month for two months. Similar recent reports from other IIT campuses also describe the same stipend and role. Overall, the process was not dominated by difficult DSA. The most useful preparation was having a clear understanding of everything written on the resume, revising OOP and DBMS basics, knowing basic DSA and SQL, and being comfortable answering behavioral questions. For this particular role, I would especially recommend preparing a strong 45-second introduction and being able to explain every project on the resume in detail. Recent candidates have described project discussions, basic technical questions and HR/behavioral questions as the main focus of the interview.
