# Future First Market Analyst Interview Experience Company:** Future First Role:** Market Analyst Mode:** Campus Recruitment I recently appeared for the Future First campus recruitment process for the **Market Analyst** role. The process included an **online assessment followed by one interview round**. ## Online Assessment The online assessment consisted mainly of **aptitude and speed maths** questions. The questions tested both accuracy and speed. The assessment included areas such as: Quantitative aptitude Mental maths Percentages Ratios Averages Basic arithmetic Logical reasoning Data interpretation The questions were time-bound, so being able to calculate quickly was important. ## Interview Round There was **one interview round**. The interview started with a discussion about my **projects and the tech stack** I had used. The interviewer asked me to explain my projects and then went into follow-up questions based on the technologies mentioned on my resume. Some of the areas discussed were: What problem does your project solve? What was your contribution? Explain the complete workflow. Why did you choose this tech stack? Why did you use a particular technology/model? What challenges did you face? How would you improve the project? How would you make the solution work on a larger scale? Since my projects also involved **AI/ML**, I was asked some basic AI/ML questions related to the concepts and technologies used in my projects. The questions were mostly fundamental and project-oriented rather than advanced ML theory. ## Logical / Analytical Puzzles The interviewer also asked around **2–3 puzzles**. These were not programming/DSA questions. They were mainly **logical and analytical reasoning problems** where the interviewer wanted to see how I approached an unfamiliar problem. The puzzles required things such as: ### 1. Logical Deduction A problem was given with a set of conditions, and I had to use those conditions to determine the possible answer. The interviewer was more interested in my **reasoning process** than just the final answer. I first broke the problem into smaller conditions, eliminated impossible cases and then arrived at the answer. ### 2. Quantitative / Mathematical Puzzle Another puzzle involved using basic mathematical reasoning rather than any advanced formula. The main challenge was identifying the right relationship between the given information and solving it without getting stuck in unnecessary calculations. This was similar to the type of problem where you have to quickly identify a pattern or derive an equation from the information provided. ### 3. Analytical Thinking Puzzle The third type of question required thinking through multiple possibilities and finding a valid solution. I explained my approach step-by-step and discussed the possibilities with the interviewer instead of immediately jumping to an answer. The interviewer also asked follow-up questions while solving the puzzles, so it felt more like an interactive problem-solving discussion. ### What I learned from the puzzle section The important thing was **not to immediately guess the answer**. A good approach is: Understand the problem → identify the constraints → break it into smaller cases → eliminate impossible cases → explain the reasoning → give the final answer.** Even if you don't immediately know the solution, communicating your thought process helps the interviewer understand how you approach unfamiliar problems. ## Preparation Tips ### Aptitude & Speed Maths Practise: Percentages Ratios Averages Probability Basic arithmetic Data interpretation Logical reasoning Mental calculations Try solving them with a timer because speed is important. ### Projects Be prepared to explain everything written on your resume. Know: Problem → Approach → Tech Stack → Your Contribution → Result → Challenges → Improvements** If you mention AI/ML, make sure you understand the basic concepts behind the models and techniques you actually used. ### Puzzles Practise common **logical, mathematical and analytical puzzles**. More importantly, practise explaining your reasoning aloud. ### Overall Experience The Future First Market Analyst process focused on **aptitude, speed maths, analytical thinking and project-based technical discussion**. The online assessment tested aptitude and speed, while the single interview focused mainly on **projects, tech stack, basic AI/ML concepts and 2–3 logical/analytical puzzles**. The interview was less about memorising theoretical concepts and more about seeing how well I could **explain my work and approach unfamiliar problems logically**.
