I applied for the Software Engineer Intern position at Deutsche Bank through an off-campus application. I found the opening online and submitted my application along with my resume and the required details. After submitting the application, I was waiting for an update regarding the next stage. I was expecting an online assessment or some kind of coding round since the role was related to software engineering. However, I received a rejection email without being invited to any further stage. There was no OA, coding round, technical interview, HR discussion, or project discussion involved in my case. The application was rejected directly after submission, so I didn't get any opportunity to demonstrate my DSA or programming skills. The rejection came without detailed individual feedback, so I couldn't really determine the exact reason behind it. Since it was an off-campus application, I also didn't have any interaction with a recruiter or hiring team before the rejection. Overall, the process was simply off-campus application → rejection. There wasn't much of a technical experience to share, but it was still a reminder that internship applications can sometimes get filtered out before candidates even reach the assessment stage.
