I applied for the Software Engineer Intern position at MongoDB through my college. The application process was pretty straightforward, and I submitted my application along with my resume. There was no online assessment, coding round, interview, or any other technical stage involved. After submitting the application, I was waiting for the next update regarding the recruitment process. However, I received a rejection email without being invited to any further round. My application was not taken forward after the initial application submission. Since I didn't reach an assessment or interview stage, there weren't any DSA, core CS, project, or behavioral questions asked. There was also no individual feedback explaining the specific reason behind the rejection. The whole process was basically just application submission → rejection. It was a little disappointing because I was hoping to at least get an opportunity to attempt the coding assessment and demonstrate my problem-solving skills. Still, there wasn't much to analyse technically from this particular application. It was simply one of those internship applications where the process ended before any actual assessment took place.
