Inmobi

InMobi came to our campus for the SDE hiring process. The first round was an online assessment with 3 DSA questions. They were around easy to medium level, with topics including sliding window, DP and binary search. I was able to solve most of it and got shortlisted for the interviews. The first technical round started with my resume and projects. The interviewer went through my projects in quite a lot of detail and then asked two DSA questions — one based on rotating a string of words and another similar to Roman to Integer. Both were manageable, although I took some time on the second one. The next round was more of a technical + managerial discussion. I was first asked a linked-list question and then we moved to basic system design concepts like load balancing, concurrency and different architectures. There were also a few Python questions and some discussion about my interests outside academics. The final HR round was mostly non-technical and covered general background and situational questions. I made it through most of the process, but unfortunately wasn't in the final selected list. Overall, the process was a good mix of DSA, projects and practical CS concepts, rather than just coding.
