Uber — Interview Experience Date: 4 September 2026 Company: Uber Position: Software Engineer Rounds: 2 Round 1 – DSA + Problem Solving: The first round was heavily focused on coding and DSA. Questions were asked from arrays, strings, hash maps, stacks, queues, trees, graphs, and recursion. I was expected to explain the brute-force approach first and then derive an optimized solution. The interviewer asked several follow-up questions regarding complexity, edge cases, and scalability. Basic conceptual questions from OOPs and DBMS were also included. Round 2 – Technical + Projects + HR: The second round focused on my projects and practical technical knowledge. I was asked to explain the complete flow of one of my projects, my role as a team member/leader, implementation challenges, and how I handled technical issues. Questions were asked from OS, DBMS, SQL, networking, and OOPs. A few scenario-based questions were also discussed, such as how I would handle a system failure or improve the performance of an application. The interview concluded with questions about teamwork, leadership, decision-making, and why I wanted to join Uber. Overall Experience: The interview was centered around problem-solving and practical application of technical concepts. The interviewers looked for a clear approach, optimized solutions, and strong understanding of the projects mentioned in the resume.
