BNY — Interview Experience Date: 25 July 2026 Company: BNY Position: Software/Technology Role Rounds: 2 Round 1 – Technical: The first round mainly focused on DSA, projects, and CS fundamentals. I was asked to introduce myself and explain my major projects, including the technologies used and my individual contribution. DSA questions were based mainly on arrays, strings, hashing, linked lists, and basic time-complexity analysis. Some questions were also asked on OOPs, DBMS, and operating systems. The interviewer also asked how I would optimize one of the solutions. Round 2 – Technical + HR: The second round was more discussion-oriented. Questions were asked about my projects in greater depth, including challenges faced, how I divided work in a team, and how I handled bugs or failures. There were also questions on DBMS, SQL, OOPs, OS, and networking fundamentals. At the end, HR-type questions included why BNY, strengths and weaknesses, teamwork experience, and relocation. Overall Experience: The interview was structured and focused on the candidate's problem-solving ability, project understanding, and CS fundamentals. The interviewers were supportive and gave enough time to explain the approach.
