The interview started with a brief resume discussion. I was asked to explain my internships and projects. The interviewer focused on my technical decisions, system architecture, scalability, and the challenges I faced while developing these projects. The next round focused on OOPS concepts. Questions covered the four pillars of OOPS—encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, and abstraction—along with practical examples. I was also asked about method overloading vs. overriding, constructors, virtual functions, and the difference between composition and inheritance. The Software Engineering section covered topics such as SDLC models, Agile methodology, software testing, version control, and software design principles. Overall, the interview was mainly based on the resume, followed by OOPS fundamentals and Software Engineering concepts. The key takeaway was to know every technology and project mentioned on the resume in depth and be prepared to explain both the “what” and the “why” behind technical decisions.
