BuyHatke conducted an on-campus drive for a 6-month SDE internship with a PPO opportunity in June 2023. The process comprised 3 rounds.

Online Coding Round: This round included 4 coding questions and 10 subjective and objective questions on DBMS, OS, and Web Development. The coding questions were medium-level problems involving binary search, hashmap, and dynamic programming:

• Maximum Boundary
• Smart Shopkeeper
• Sam and Friends
• Near perfect String

14 students were selected after this round.

Technical Round 1: A 30-minute Google Meet interview. It started with an introduction and discussion of projects, including a demonstration of a project. Two DSA Algorithm questions were asked:

• A question related to Buying and Selling Stock.
• Maximum Product of Word Lengths.

The interviewer asked for optimized approaches and asymptotic analysis for both problems. 4 students were selected for the second technical interview.

Technical Round 2: This round also began with introductions and project discussions. Questions were asked about Blockchain (due to a mentioned project), Web Development, MySQL, DSA, and Logical Reasoning.

Specific questions included:

• CSS: In how many ways can we add CSS to an HTML page?
• Logical questions: Calculate the number of trailing zeros present in the factorial of a number. How can we use a 7-minute hourglass and a 4-minute hourglass to measure 9 minutes?
• Coding question: In an array, each element is present two times except one element. How can we find that element?
