My interview at Hyland’s Kolkata office was a smooth and well‑organized experience, lasting about 30–45 minutes in person, and focused on technical knowledge, project discussion, problem‑solving, and analytical skills. It began with a brief self‑introduction, followed by questions on the domains and technologies I had worked with, my internship experience, and key learnings. The panel engaged me in real‑world scenarios based on my technical stack and held detailed discussions about my projects, including workflow, architecture, implementation, design decisions, challenges faced, and possible improvements. They also asked multiple‑choice questions from core subjects like DSA, Operating Systems, DBMS, Computer Networks, and OOPs, along with two medium‑level dynamic programming problems. The panel was extremely friendly and encouraging, making the conversation feel more like a collaborative technical discussion than a rigid Q&A. The office environment appeared lively, professional, and employee‑friendly, reflecting a positive company culture. Overall, the recruitment process was seamless, with clear communication at every stage. For future candidates, I would recommend building strong fundamentals in core CS subjects, practicing medium‑level DSA problems, being confident while explaining projects, and having a clear understanding of architecture, workflow, and design decisions. Clear communication of thought processes during technical discussions is key. In closing, I found the interview excellent, supportive, and insightful, and I encourage future candidates to focus on project knowledge, core CS fundamentals, and confident communication.
