Experience:

This experience describes the recruitment process for the Business Technology Analyst (BTA) role on campus.

Round 1 (Aptitude): This round consisted of 45-60 questions to be completed in 40-50 minutes. Topics included Quantitative Analysis, Verbal Ability, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Computer Fundamentals, and DBMS. This round was conducted on the Talview platform.

Round 2 (Video Interview): This was a video interview round where candidates recorded answers for 8-10 questions, each lasting about 3 minutes, with a 1-minute thinking gap. Questions were scenario-based and sometimes included guesstimates. This round also included technical online interviews on the Monjin Platform, lasting 30 minutes, covering SQL, DBMS, Business Analytics, and questions about ZS Associates.

Round 3 (Case Study Round): Candidates were given a 12-15 page case study with a business problem and 7 databases, followed by 3-4 questions. 30 minutes were allotted to analyze and figure out an approach. The tip was to understand the problem rather than solving the entire case.

Round 4 (Technical Interview): This round was quite exhaustive, lasting almost one and a half hours. The interviewer asked questions on SQL concepts like joins, order of execution, basic query examples (nth highest salary, self-join), functions (NVL, Decode, Rank vs Dense Rank, Timestamp functions), and aliasing and query optimizations. Interviewers might create testing situations, and remaining calm and conveying the thought process was crucial.

Round 5 (Fit/HR Round - EBI+FIT): This final round involved meeting a ZS leader who assessed the candidate's fit for the company. Questions covered common HR topics, resume details, and occasionally SQL/DBMS or business case studies. Guesstimates and puzzles were also frequently asked. The interviewer went through HR questions, puzzles, and code snippets, and asked about the candidate's interest in ZS.
