Experience:

Wipro visited the campus for the position of Product Engineer.

1. Screening Test: Conducted on the AMCAT platform with a lockdown browser. It had 5 sections:

  • English: Covered synonyms, antonyms, fill in the blanks, rearranging sentences, and comprehension.
  • Logical Ability: Questions on Blood Relations, Word Encoding, and directions.
  • Quantitative Ability: Topics included Speed, Distance & Time, Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Probability, and Profit & Loss.
  • Coding: Two coding questions were asked: "The Two sum problem" and "Number of rotations required to form a specific array."
  • Essay (20 minutes): Topic was "Indians leaving for abroad for job opportunities. And what would you do if you have an offer from out of India and one within India."

2. Interview Round: Scheduled on Superset. The interviewer asked:

  • Self-introduction.
  • Walkthrough of the resume.
  • Discussion about the assessment and performance, along with feedback and learnings.
  • Asked about a unique highlight of Wipro's hiring assessment (candidate mentioned the essay section).
  • What would you do if given a project involving an unfamiliar technology?
  • Favorite computer science subject (candidate mentioned web development).
  • Technologies known in web development, and disadvantages/advantages of Bootstrap.
  • Detailed explanation of a project and the results of implemented algorithms.
  • A math puzzle: 6, 28, 120, 496, ?.
  • "Why Wipro?" and "Why should we hire you?".
  • Willingness to relocate and understanding of the service agreement.
  • Languages known, CGPA, last semester GPA, backlogs, and education gap.

The interviewer also gave an introduction to Wipro's culture, employees, benefits, teams, collaborative environment, and vision. The interview lasted approximately 25 minutes, longer than for most of the candidate's friends. The advice given was to know projects well, research Wipro, and be confident, clear, and precise.
