Experience:

UBS visited the campus in the last week of August 2022 for the 2023 batch.

Round 1: In-person Test
This round was conducted in college labs and comprised about 50 questions to be solved in 1 hour or 1 hour 20 minutes. It included 2 DSA questions (one easy, one moderate) and MCQs from CS fundamentals like Java, OOP, OS, and aptitude. Candidates with Java knowledge performed comparatively well.

Round 2: Technical Interview
Scheduled 3-4 days after the first round, this interview was mostly based on the candidate's resume and profile. Those who mentioned DSA faced DSA-oriented questions, while others with internships/projects were questioned on their tech stack. The candidate's interview involved discussions on projects, covering topics like architecture differences in backend frameworks, client-side vs server-side rendering, image storage (Cloudinary), JSX compilation, and APIs vs web services. Java OOPs concepts, specifically inheritance and code snippets, were asked. Questions on B+ trees and indexing and their application in projects were also part of the discussion. The interview lasted an hour, and the candidate's interest in the financial sector and equity investment impressed the interviewers.

Round 3: HR Round
A brief 5-minute discussion on common HR questions such as family background, 5-year career aspirations, and interest in higher studies. Tips included showing interest in the financial sector and being neutral about higher studies.
