Experience:

This on-campus interview experience for Trimble involved three main rounds.

Round 1: Online Assessment
This round consisted of 4 sections:

  • Technical Fillups: 10 questions, no negative marking.
  • Technical MCQ: 10 questions, no negative marking.
  • Coding Question 1 (OOPS): 2 questions based on OOPS concepts only, such as implementing classes, virtual functions, and inheritance. The language for coding was C++ or Java.
  • Coding Question 2: Another 2 coding questions.
    • One was about finding the shortest path in a grid from (0,0) to (n,n) (Kruskal algorithm was mentioned as a possible approach).
    • The other was about finding the number of forests in a grid of a matrix which are connected.

Round 2: Technical Interview
This round involved 3 technical interviews. Questions were asked about the candidate's projects and their scope. Other topics included OOPS concepts, Networking questions, DBMS queries, UML diagrams, and general data structures.

Round 3: HR Interview
This round comprised 3 HR interviews where scenario questions and general questions about the candidate were asked. Rounds 2 and 3 together took almost 7 hours.
