Experience:

The campus hiring process began with a pre-placement talk on July 14, 2020. The 1st round, an online test, was on August 1, 2020, followed by the 2nd round on August 2, 2020, the 3rd round on August 4, 2020, and the 4th round concluding on August 5, 2020.

Round 1 (MCQs and Coding): This round lasted 1 hour 30 minutes and was divided into two segments. Part 1 consisted of 14 MCQs on concepts of C, C++, and Java. Part 2 included 3 coding questions:

  1. Given N integers (N>0), all elements will be repeated one or more times except for one unique element. Identify and print the unique element.
  2. Sort odd and even numbers in an array separately. The output should place even numbers in descending order at even-numbered indices and odd numbers in ascending order at odd-numbered indices. For example, Input: 6 elements - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 Output: 1, 6, 3, 4, 5, 2.
  3. Determine if an array is "good" or "bad" based on given criteria: all elements are unique, the array is not sorted in ascending order, and all array elements should have a value between 1 to N inclusive.

Round 2 (2 Coding Questions - 60 mins): This round focused on two coding problems:

  1. To print the matrix in the Anti-Spiral direction.
  2. Binary tree spiral traversal.

Round 3 (Technical Interview): This round lasted 1 hour and was based on the candidate's performance in previous rounds, with a maximum of 3 technical interviews. Questions covered networking basics, programming questions on linked lists, string manipulation, and palindromes. Concepts of C, inheritance, constructors, pointers, and polymorphism were also discussed. Projects mentioned in the resume were a key area of questioning.

Round 4 (HR Interview): Only one student out of eight was selected for the HR interview and received an offer. The author of this experience unfortunately did not make it to the HR interview.
