Verizon visited the campus in August 2023 for an SDE role.

Round 1: Online Test
The online test had several timed sections. It included essay writing, a coding section with two questions of easy to medium difficulty, a vocabulary section where candidates answered as many questions as possible within a time limit, and a gaming round. Approximately 60 out of 600 candidates cleared this round.

Round 2: Group Discussion
Candidates were divided into groups of 10. Due to the online format, each student was given 1 minute to speak about a specific topic. Topics included AI, favorite food, hard work and smart work, Chandrayaan 3, village side vs. city side, 5G technology, thoughts on Working from Home, sustainable development goals, sports, and digital devices. 40 members were selected for the next round.

Round 3: Technical Interview
The interviewer reviewed the candidate's resume and asked for an introduction. Most questions were based on the projects mentioned in the resume. Specific questions included: "Explain the project's architecture." "How do you create a login page by implementing all security measures?" (The candidate answered authentication and two-step verification, then was cross-questioned on why an alert message would state both username and password incorrect, rather than just the password). "If the website is prone to any DOS attack, how would you identify it?" "Real-life examples of stack, queues, and hash maps." "What are memory leaks? How can you handle memory leaks in large projects?"

Round 4: HR Interview
This was described as the shortest interview. The interviewer asked for an introduction, apart from education and projects. For some candidates, they were also asked to speak for 1 minute about a given topic.

Result: The candidate was selected, and Verizon hired 10 members from the campus.
