Experience:

Unthinkable Solution (Daffodils) visited the campus for the role of Junior Associate-IT. The process originally had 5 rounds: a coding round, a conditional written test, two technical interviews, and an HR round. The candidate directly proceeded to personal interviews after the coding round.

Round 1 (Coding): This round consisted of 3 questions (LeetCode Easy-Medium) to be solved in 1 hour. Questions included "Combinational Sum", a variation of "Bulb Switcher" where the task was to print which bulbs remain on, and a string manipulation question. The candidate solved 2 questions and was directly shortlisted for personal interviews.

Round 2 (Technical Interview 1): This round lasted about 90 minutes. It started with "INTRODUCE YOURSELF!". The round focused on fundamental subjects and DSA. Rapid-fire questions on OOPS concepts were asked (pillars, virtual functions, polymorphism, method overloading/overriding). A pattern printing question was given. Questions on Trees (definition, pre/in/postorder traversals) were also asked, with the constraint of not using any inbuilt functions or extra spaces. The candidate solved all questions.

Round 3 (Technical Interview 2): This round was entirely focused on development, with no DSA questions. Since the candidate mentioned React and Node in their resume, questions were asked on "ContextAPI", "Middlewares" (definition, use of text), "Hooks" (useState, useEffect). A coding question involved writing code to check user authentication and get a user profile after login. Further questions were on "Promises" and "async/await" (how to create, how to return). The interviewer also asked "How does CSS work?". The interviewer was helpful, providing hints when the candidate got stuck.

Round 4 (HR): This round lasted about 15 minutes with simple questions like "Tell me something about yourself", "Where do you see yourself in the next 3 years?", "What do you expect from your organization and how can Unthinkable fulfill that?", "Your Most challenging project till now", "What Challenges did you face during your interview and how was your experience working in a team and as an individual?", and "What is your dream company and what if you get the opportunity to appear for the dream organization process, what will you choose unthinkably or the dream organization?".
