Rounds: 1 Online Assessment, 1 Interview Round

Topics Asked: C, DBMS, OOPS, Data Structures, Algorithms, Projects Discussion

Experience:

The first stage was an online assessment.

Online Assessment: This round included two coding problems and 30 MCQs covering C, DBMS, and OOPS. The coding problems ranged from easy-medium to medium-hard difficulty. The candidate managed to get fully accepted solutions in the last 5 minutes, after having partial solutions. MCQs were a mixed bag, requiring educated guesses for some.

Interview Round: There was only one interview round, which started with a discussion about the candidate's projects. The interviewer then moved to coding problems using a CodePair link. The first question was to merge two sorted arrays, for which both possible approaches were explained. The second problem was about finding the minimum swaps needed to make a set of parentheses balanced. The initial solution for the second problem passed only 3 out of 15 test cases, but after dry-running and getting feedback from the interviewer, the candidate refined the approach and passed 12 out of 15 test cases. The interviewer was kind and advised the candidate to relax when technical issues occurred with a project demo.
