Tredence Analytics visited an NIT for Business Analyst hiring.

Round 1: Online Test (HackerEarth) The test lasted 2 hours 20 minutes and had no section-wise time limits. Sections included Data Interpretation, Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, Computer Programming, Pseudo Code, Guesstimates, and Essay Writing. Data Interpretation, Verbal, and Quantitative abilities were relatively easy. The Computer Programming section had 3 questions, moderate to tough, focusing on dynamic programming and bit manipulation. Solving 2 out of 3 programming questions was usually sufficient for selection. Pseudo Code and Essay Writing sections were easy. Guesstimates held the highest weightage. Out of 250 students, 35 were shortlisted. This was followed by an online PPT about the company and interview stages.

Round 2: Personal Interview (MS Teams) The interviewer was friendly. Questions primarily involved probability, permutation and combination (JEE Maths level), puzzles (GeeksforGeeks level), and one guesstimate. The guesstimate question was "Number of tennis balls sold in India in 1 year." This round lasted about 30 minutes. Candidates were advised to ask 2-3 questions to the interviewer.

Round 3: Technical plus HR Round The interviewer was patient. The specific questions for this round were not detailed, but it was the final round. The candidate was selected.

Tips: Prepare aptitude from IndiaBix and GeeksforGeeks. For programming, be strong in dynamic programming and bit manipulation. For puzzles, refer to GFG. Practice guesstimates thoroughly. Always ask questions to the interviewer.
