Experience:

Tredence conducted an on-campus recruitment drive for the Analyst role, emphasizing strong Python, SQL, Machine Learning, and AI foundations. The entire process spanned two days and was conducted offline.

Round 1: Online Assessment This round was held on HackerEarth and included sections on Aptitude, English Grammar, Case Study, and one coding question. There were approximately 30-35 MCQ questions covering Aptitude, English Grammar, and basic CS fundamentals. The coding question was a medium-level DSA problem, similar to those found on LeetCode; one candidate mentioned it was the Coin Change problem. Around 400 candidates participated, with 25-30 shortlisted for the next round.

Round 2: Communication Round This round was conducted on the Mettle platform and focused on assessing speaking and listening skills. Questions involved reading statements aloud and speaking about oneself for 1-2 minutes continuously. After this round, 5-6 candidates were eliminated.

Round 3: Technical Round 1 The interviewer was described as friendly. Questions covered SQL and DSA. The DSA question mentioned was the Coin Change problem. SQL questions were tricky but manageable with clear basics. Some candidates were asked about their internships and side projects, while others faced questions on Linked Lists.

Round 4: Technical Round 2 This interviewer was stricter, possibly an MD at Tredence. Tough SQL questions and their implementations were asked, including writing queries and discussing functions like COALESCE. Projects from the resume were discussed in depth, and basic CS fundamentals, particularly DBMS concepts like ACID properties and transactions, were covered. About 8 candidates were selected for the HR round after this.

Round 5: HR Round This round focused on behavioral questions, personal background, hobbies, major/minor college projects, and future goals. Candidates were advised to ask about the pay structure to demonstrate interest. While most who reached this round were selected, 2-3 candidates were still eliminated.

Tips: Prepare SQL thoroughly, including LeetCode SQL 50. Be well-versed with projects listed on your resume.
