Experience:

This interview experience for a Developer or Quality Engineer role at TransUnion consisted of three rounds.

Round 1: Online Assessment
This round was conducted on the AMCAT SHL Platform. It included sections on aptitude, verbal ability, logical reasoning, and two coding questions focused on the usage of STL.

Round 2: Technical Interview
This round lasted for 30 minutes. It began with an introduction, followed by questions based on the candidate's resume, including projects and virtual internships. Three coding questions were asked:

• Write an optimal code to find the number of prime numbers within a given range. Discussion on time complexity followed.
• Reverse the words in a string and return the entire string (code in Java). Discussion on time complexity followed.
• An SQL question to print the second max salary among employees of an organization.

Conceptual questions were also asked, covering advantages of C++ over Java, normalization in DBMS, different software engineering models (Waterfall vs. Agile), and different types of testing in software development. The interviewer concluded by asking about the candidate's preferred work location.

Round 3: Managerial Interview
This round was 15 minutes long. Questions were asked about the candidate's resume, background, and hobbies. Technical questions included how Java is platform independent and an explanation of inheritance in C++ using real-world scenarios (e.g., Traffic analysis).
