Experience:

The interview process for a Senior Data Engineer role with 3 Years of Experience (YOE) involved three rounds.

Round 1 (Coding): This round was purely coding.

  • 6 coding questions: 3 SQL and 3 PySpark.
  • The candidate solved 4 out of 6 functionally and impressed the interviewer.
  • Scenario-based questions followed, related to Azure Data Factory and PySpark optimizations.

Round 2 (Technical): Conducted by a Data Architect.

  • Many questions from previous projects, testing experience on Azure and PySpark.
  • Rounds were purely based on scenarios.
