Experience:

The interview process involved initial shortlisting, an online assessment, two technical rounds, and an HR round.

Initial Shortlisting: Approximately 200 students from 4 departments were shortlisted, which was largely a formality.

Online Assessment: 17 candidates were shortlisted for the interview rounds after this.

Technical Round 1: This was an elimination round (6-7 candidates remained).

• Project discussion: The interviewer showed great interest in one of the candidate's projects, leading to a 15-minute discussion.
• Coding Question: A standard LeetCode question - rotating a matrix by 90 degrees.

Technical Round 2: This round was held a few hours later and was described as relaxed and friendly (3-4 candidates remained).

• Engaging discussions about technology, recent developments (e.g., SORA launch, MKBHD's video), and potential traffic solutions.
• Puzzle Question: Chocolate wrappers problem: "If you have 100 chocolates and can exchange 3 wrappers for 1 new chocolate, how many total chocolates can you eat?" (Answer: 149). The solution was implemented in C++.

HR Round: A brief 5-minute discussion (2-3 candidates remained).

• Standard HR questions, such as "Describe three things your friends like about you and three things they dislike about you."

The candidate made sure to ask questions, particularly about GenAI. Compensation mentioned was ₹9 LPA fixed + Up to ₹1 Lakh joining bonus.

Tip: Focus on practicing matrix problems, SQL, and puzzles.
