Experience:

Texas Instruments conducted an on-campus recruitment drive in August 2023. There were no specific CGPA criteria mentioned. Eligibility was for CSE, ECE, and EE branches.

Round 1 (Online Assessment):

This round had a duration of 75 minutes and consisted of two sections.

  • **Aptitude Section:** 20 questions in 30 minutes, covering logical reasoning, some math concepts, and figure-based questions.
  • **Technical Section:** 35 questions in 30 minutes. Questions were from CS Fundamentals like OS, DBMS, CN, and OOPs (with code snippets in Java and C++). Some questions were easy, but most were hard. 4-5 tough SQL questions were asked, including one query-based and others related to backend. DBMS and OOPs formed a major portion.

Only 21 students qualified for the next round.

Round 2 (Interview):

This round lasted 40-45 minutes.

  • The interviewer started with "Tell me about yourself."
  • Detailed discussion about one of the projects mentioned in the resume.
  • Questions based on topics mentioned in the resume, such as React.js, JavaScript, and Node.js.
  • A coding question was given in the meeting chat: "Given a string s and a dictionary of strings wordDict, return true if s can be segmented into a space-separated sequence of one or more dictionary words." (This is the Word Break Problem).

The candidate noted that coding questions were generally easy, and interviewers focused more on projects and CS fundamentals.
