Experience:

Societe Generale conducted interviews on campus, starting with an online assessment.

Online Assessment: This online test included aptitude (numbers, speed, distance, blood relations), technical (OOPs, C output), and coding questions. Coding questions were easy to medium, related to storing and retrieving data, solvable using maps. Around 300 students participated, with 29 shortlisted.

Round 1 (Technical Round): This was a face-to-face interview. After an introduction, questions were resume-based. As web development was mentioned, questions on JSON, cloud storage, and retrieval of JSON were asked. The candidate explained JSON formats and working, but not in-depth. Other questions included: difference between stack memory and heap memory, OSI model layers (Transport layer, TCP, and UDP in-depth). A pattern printing coding question was given to be solved on paper.

Round 2 (Technical/Managerial Round): This round was less deeply technical. Questions were asked about machine learning (model training), differences between Java, Python, C, and Cpp, and why Java is popular. GET and POST differences were also discussed. Behavioral questions included comfort with night and day shifts and job expectations. The interviewer also explained about the company.

Round 3 (HR Round): Questions covered how the candidate fits for the job, family background, knowledge about Societe Generale, and location preferences (Chennai and Bangalore).
