Experience:

This SDE-1 interview experience at Slice for a Computer Science Engineering student from IIT (BHU) Varanasi consisted of 3 rounds.

Preparation: The candidate prepared for 4 months, focusing on Data Structures, Algorithms, DBMS, OOPS, and OS.

Round 1 - Online Coding Test (90 minutes): This round was of medium difficulty and included 2 coding problems.

• Question 1: Count Leaf Nodes (Easy). The candidate used a tree traversal approach to solve this, checking if both left and right children of a node are NULL to identify leaf nodes.
• Question 2: Print Binary Tree in Zigzag Order. The candidate used an approach based on two stacks, one for left-to-right printing and another for right-to-left.

Technical Round: This round involved discussing projects mentioned in the resume. The interviewer asked about the basic working of projects, the technology stack used, and requested a flowchart for one of the projects. Theoretical questions on Python (e.g., output of `print(type("Python"))`) were also asked.

HR Round: The HR round included a self-introduction, questions about CGPA and academic background, and general HR questions. The candidate emphasized the importance of communication skills throughout the process.
