Experience:

Bajaj Finserv visited COEP Technological University in August 2021 for the full-time role of a Software Engineer. Candidates could choose from Android Development (Kotlin), Microservices Java, and Web development Angular, with the written test based on the chosen role. The candidate chose Android.

Written Test 1: This unique first round did not involve DSA or aptitude. The task was to submit data (name, email, college, etc.) to a given API via a 'PUT' request, along with the binary data of the code file. 78 out of 330 applicants cleared this round.

Written Test 2: Conducted on HackerEarth, this test included 12 MCQs on Kotlin, DSA, and aptitude, plus two easy to medium level coding questions on Arrays. The candidate cleared 50% of the test cases for both coding questions.

Technical Interview: This was an online interview. The interviewer asked for an introduction and reviewed the resume, focusing on the candidate's projects (2 Angular, 2 Android). Questions included whether projects were live, with the candidate discussing a live Angular project and an Android project. Basic programming questions asked were "reverse a string", "swap two numbers without using a third variable", and "remove duplicates from a list". DSA questions were very basic. Android-related questions included "activity vs fragment" and "types of intents". The interview lasted only 15 minutes for the candidate, while those without relevant projects faced more DSA questions and longer interviews (about an hour).

HR Interview: This was a brief phone call to confirm interest in joining the company, comfort with the Pune location, and overall interview experience. A total of 29 students were selected.
